This shoot was something that happened very last minute, but usually those are always the best shoots…and this was no exception! Mary Beth is a friend of mine from high school and we hadn’t seen each other in years unless you count randomly running into each other in downtown Annapolis for five minutes, and seeing each other’s Facebook posts. Needless to say this was a way overdue play-date!
Mary Beth started her trek on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and has since headed from there to Annapolis, to Asheville, NC and will continue on until she makes it to Alaska! She is soooo freaking cool and y’all need to go follow along with her trek! You can follow her Instagram here, and her blog here! She spent a year working on this van, making it her home-on-wheels and it is amazing. She shiplapped the entire interior, tanned a fox skin HERSELF to make a cute little rug (which usually I would be really sad about, but she assured me it had been roadkill which is sad of course, but it means she gave new life to the little guy!). The van, aka Mrs. Virginia is also complete with a mini wood stove and tons of air-plants + books! It’s the perfect cozy little home and I’m so excited to see all of her adventures…and hopefully join when she makes it to Alaska, fingers crossed timing works out!!
peep the little fox!
I mean how much cooler can a human be? Did I forget to mention she’s also teaching herself how to play the banjo??
van boudoir? hellz yeah why not!
Little and big dipper tattoos…how cool? They just look like freckles!
And of course, we had to attempt a picture together!
